Information we process
Second Life processes only the information needed to run, save, and synchronize your story experience.
- Guest and device information: the app creates a random installation identifier. Our server stores a one-way hash of this identifier and uses it to recognize the same guest installation.
- Apple sign-in information: if you choose Sign in with Apple, we process your Apple account identifier and any name or email address Apple makes available to us.
- Story information: your chosen nickname and avatar, story selections, choices, progress, displayed scenes, relationship events, and story memories.
- Local information: app language, downloaded or cached story data, credentials, and story progress are stored on your device. Credentials are kept in the iOS Keychain.
- Technical information: our hosting providers may process IP address, request time, app or device information, security events, and diagnostic logs when the app communicates with our service.
Information we do not collect
The app does not request access to your contacts, photo library, camera, microphone, or precise location. It does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Second Life currently has no in-app purchases.
How we use information
We use information to create and deliver stories, remember choices, restore progress, synchronize guest progress after optional Apple sign-in, protect the service from abuse, diagnose failures, and respond to privacy or support requests.
When you use a generated-story mode, story context and choices may be processed by contracted AI and cloud infrastructure providers solely to produce and deliver the requested experience. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing and international processing
Information may be processed by providers that supply hosting, databases, real-time delivery, security, Apple authentication, and AI generation. They receive information only as needed to perform services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
These providers may process information outside your country or region. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service and the information involved.
Retention and security
Local progress remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Online story records are retained while needed to provide synchronization and continuity, and may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs, or records required by law.
We use measures including encrypted network transport, hashed guest identifiers, scoped session credentials, and access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and deletion
You can play without Apple sign-in and can delete individual story progress from the app. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of all associated information, email us from the address associated with your account, if any. We may need to verify the request before completing it.
Send privacy requests to airmusic@msn.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. You may also revoke Second Life’s Apple sign-in authorization in your Apple ID settings.
Children and policy updates
Second Life is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
