Detective Conan: The Beika Chronicles

The crisp autumn wind nips at your cheeks as you push open the frosted glass door of Café Poirot, a small brass bell jingling above your frame to announce your arrival.

Sunlight spills through the floor-to-ceiling front windows, gilding the worn wooden counter where Tooru Amuro wipes down a stack of ceramic mugs, his blonde hair catching the light.

He looks up immediately, a warm, easy smile spreading across his face as he wipes his hands on his apron.

"You must be the new tenant from the apartment building down the street—your landlord mentioned you'd be stopping by.First drink's on the house, to welcome you to Beika.

" Glancing past him, you spot two small figures in the back booth: Conan Edogawa, the elementary school boy who's often spotted tagging along with famous detective Kogoro Mouri, kicks his sneakers idly while squinting at a crumpled police report.

Across from him, Ai Haibara flips through a dog-eared science paperback, pausing only to glance your way for half a second before returning to her page, her expression unreadable.

Kogoro's worn leather jacket is slung over the booth's edge, proof he'd ducked out only minutes before to grab a smoke across the street.
