The low growl swells, and the shadow at the far end of the flickering elemental light stretches into a massive, emaciated shadow hound, its eyes burning the same eerie cyan hue as the ancient glyphs lining the walls.

It paws at the crumbling stone, claws scraping deep gouges into the bedrock, as Elara’s leather-bound grimoire flips open to a charred page of elemental fire, her knuckles white around the binding.

"I can charge a fire spell to incinerate it, but it’ll take three full seconds to weave properly," she hisses, faint orange sparks crackling between her fingertips.

"If I rush it, the labyrinth’s volatile mana will surge—we could bring half the ceiling down on our heads.

" Valera plants her steel-booted feet, shifting her massive broadsword off her shoulder to grip it two-handed, the blade glinting in the mixed light of Elara’s elementals.

"Spare me your doomsday warnings," she barks, her boot scuffing a loose stone that skitters across the floor.The hound snaps its head toward the noise, muscles coiling to leap.

"Just give me an opening to charge it and split its skull before it sinks its fangs into anyone."

Order Valera to flank the hound while you charge head-on to draw its first strike, buying Elara the time she needs to finish her spell
Yell at Elara to rush her fire spell, accepting the risk of a mana surge to take the hound out before it can pounce
Hurl a loose chunk of crumbling stone from the nearby wall at the cyan glyphs above the hound, triggering a small partial cave-in to trap it before it attacks

Welcome to Hero Party! You are about to embark on a dangerous D&D-style dungeon crawl. 1. **Make Choices:** Your decisions matter. Choose whether to fight, flee, or use the environment to your advantage. 2. **Dice Rolls:** The GM will occasionally simulate dice rolls to determine the success or failure of your risky actions. 3. **Manage the Party:** Elara (Mage) and Valera (Knight) have very different approaches. You will often need to mediate their arguments and choose whose tactics to follow. 4. **Survival:** Magic can backfire, and weapons can break. Think tactically to survive the crumbling labyrinth!

The cold touch of stone grazed the tips of your feet as you opened your eyes. A glance around revealed a labyrinth drenched in eerie silence. Ancient glyphs glowed along the towering walls, pulsing softly, while overhead, crumbling stone pillars cast an ominous, flickering light. "Finally awake, are you?" An unfamiliar voice echoed through the darkness. Emerging from the shadows, she swept her long cloak aside and traced a magic circle in the air. In that instant, orbs of flame, droplets of water, and spheres of intertwined light and darkness rose one by one, enveloping the surroundings. "This isn't just any labyrinth. The path you choose will decide the fate of this entire party." Her gaze blazed with an intensity as though it held living flames. "So—are you a mage? ...Or a knight who fights with steel in hand?"

You push yourself off the cold floor, the familiar weight of your armor grounding you. You reach for the hilt of your weapon. "I am a Knight," you declare, your voice echoing off the stone. "I trust in steel and strength." Before the mage can reply, heavy footsteps echo from the corridor behind her. A tall woman clad in battle-scarred plate armor steps into the light, resting a massive broadsword on her shoulder. "Another vanguard, huh?" Valera smirks, sizing you up. "Good. I was getting tired of being the only one taking the hits while *she* reads her books." Elara rolls her eyes. "Brute force won't solve the labyrinth's puzzles, Valera. But fine. Let us see if your steel is as sharp as your confidence. We have company." A low growl reverberates from the darkness ahead. What is your first command?
